I found these in an antique store in Mountain City, TN on Mother's day while out loafing with my mom! They're mostly old Boye's. All those for a grand total of $5.95. I can't resist old knitting needles, regardless of what type they are. I'm guessing these are from the 70's, as was most of the other stuff in the booth I found them in.

Hobby Lobby had this sale...
all knitting tools were 50% off. This is when I realized I'm obsessed with DPN's. I used to be terrified of them. I avoided them at all costs. Now, I'm over the fear and the sock knitting bug has bitten. I feel like I wasted so much time not knitting socks!
My next goal, is to work on my fear of gauge. I'm afraid to try anything other than a ribbed or stockinette sock because I'm worried that I'll finish it and it will be too huge or too small. I can't figure out how to adjust the number of cast on stitches vs. needle size vs. type of yarn to make it right for me. I'm afraid to stray from the pattern exactly as it is written, whether I have gauge or not!
Next time....photos of socks in progress.
